Facebook harvesting your smartphone address book - major #fail

As each day passes I come closer to cancelling my Facebook account. This one might just tip me over the edge. I am certainly removing it from my iPhone.

Try visiting https://www.facebook.com/friends/edit/?sk=phonebook as see what information you have unwittingly given Facebook. OK, this was not public, but are you happy that they have this data?

On the right hand side there appears to be a facility to request this data be removed.

Online security has never been more important. It's time you considered how strong your password is, otherwise your accounts could be hacked in minutes by easily acquired software.

A strong password should

• Contain capitals and lower case
• Contain numbers and special characters e.g. one or more of !@£$%^&*() (shift key and 1234567890 )

Strong passwords should take years to crack, ideally 100's or 1000's.
