Having lived in Christchurch for nearly 3 years and formed a huge bond with the place and New Zealand I have been struck to the core over the recent earthquake. So many people hurt, many lives shattered and beautiful heritage buildings no more than dusty ruins.

Now some time has passed since the initial shocks a more representative picture of what has happened is emerging on the web.
